Les Dickert comes to Equitable from Ingalls & Snyder, where he served as an associate portfolio manager. In his time there, he collaborated to develop diverse portfolios for individuals and institutions, utilizing individual stocks, ETFs, and fixed-income securities to create tax-efficient strategies. He is delighted to join the team at the Equitable Advisors flagship Manhattan office, where he is empowered to give his clients additional access to Equitable’s holistic array of strategies and services.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Les worked as an award-winning designer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in 1994, a Masters of Fine Arts from Yale University in 1997, and maintains the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licenses. He created his own portfolio of equities in 1999 with an attentive eye on economic trends and the markets, and has managed it successfully ever since. His experience in design contributes to his unique ability to view a client’s needs holistically, allowing the conception of innovative and customized strategies based on a life-centered approach to financial planning.
Originally from North Carolina, Les moved to New York City in 1997 and considers it home. He is an avid runner, having run five marathons and numerous half-marathons, and an advanced open-water scuba diver with over 200 logged dives. Les lives in the West Village of Manhattan with his wife.
