Mission statement for community involvement and creating impact in the areas where we live and work.

Greater New York Equitable Advisors Impact Day

Equitable Advisors took the Apollo Theater stage to address the wealth equity gap and financial literacy in the divers' communities in New York City.

The night was packed with highlights: the partnerships we have made these past few years, the initiatives we have achieved, and our plans to continue our impact moving forward.

Starting the night, we invited Dean Andrew Rich from CCNY to take the stage and discuss the work Equitable Advisors has to do with their students by providing students with a glimpse into the day in the life of a financial advisor, developing their interview skills, corporate opportunities, and teaching about market updates. To support this mission, Equitable provided a total of $10,000 in grants to CCNY to distribute equally to 5 stellar recipients.

Greater New York Equitable Day of Service Kit Build

All 3 of our branch locations. Combined between our Woodbury NY, NYC, and Saddle Brook NJ locations, we had over 80 volunteers who sent more than 730 hygiene kits (dental care, soap/lotion, shampoo, washcloths, etc.) to 3 different local partners.
These local partners include...

The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine | Bronx Works : Jackson Avenue Family Residence | Rise Up East New York!

These amazing community partners serve different vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, Veterans, and clients living in transitional housing. We encourage everyone to learn more about these special organizations and find ways to be a force for good.

Greater New York Equitable Advisors 9/11 Day of Service Event

Equitable joined a collective effort in 18 cities across the U.S. to observe the federally recognized September 11 Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance by participating in the 9/11 Day of Service event in New York City.

More than 15,000 volunteers, including military veterans and first responders, joined together to pack more than five million healthy, non-perishable meals for people facing food insecurity in the U.S. These meals will stay in the local communities where they are packed and will be donated to and distributed by Feeding America-affiliated food banks as part of Hunger Action Month.

Thank you Jarian Kerekes and the Equitable Foundation for including our advisors and staff in the event! special thank you to the Equitable Advisors Mentors, who are partnered with Student Sponsor Partners and the mentees and their families who participated.

The meal-packing event was organized by the 9/11 Day nonprofit organization, which seeks to rekindle the spirit of unity and compassion that arose after September 11, 2001, and to perform good deeds and other acts of service as a tribute.
